America 250 - A Hungarian Revolutionary War Hero

Michael Kováts de Fabriczy, a Hungarian war hero, played a crucial role in securing America’s independence during the Revolutionary War.
He was the founding father of the American Cavalry, the co-founder of he Pulasky Cavalry. His unwavering commitment to freedom led him to the New World, where he made the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of Charleston.
Though honored in both Hungary and the United States, he has not yet received the recognition he deserves in Charleston, SC — the very place where he gave his life for American freedom.
As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding, the Hungary Foundation has launched an effort to commission a monumental equestrian statue to permanently honor his courage and sacrifice.
Be part of this historic tribute—make your gift today and help bring this powerful memorial to life.
